From the world's metropolises to the quiet of Camaiore: my story. My name is Caterina and I am a traveler at heart. I lived in bustling London for nearly twenty years, followed by three intense, wonderful years volunteering in Thailand, Vietnam, and Peru. This profound experience taught me the true value of hospitality, listening, and sharing. A few years ago, I chose to settle in this little slice of paradise inC Montemagno to raise my daughter, Alice. Here, I fell deeply in love with the wild nature of these mountains—a landscape where I now love to hike and rock climb. My B&B was born from this very passion: to serve as a meeting place for traveling souls, offering hospitality that comes straight from the heart.

The perfect base for exploring Tuscany (and beyond) La Casa di Alice is located in Montemagno, a cool, quiet hillside setting that is nonetheless strategically perfect for visiting the most beloved destinations in our region and neighboring Liguria. Our guests love relaxing by our pool—nestled amidst the greenery—and using the property as an ideal base for day trips to: • Lucca: the enchanting city of historic walls. • Pietrasanta: a historic town vibrant with art and galleries. • Pisa: home to the famous Piazza dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower. • Florence: the timeless cradle of the Renaissance. • Cinque Terre: the famous, breathtaking villages perched above the sea. • Forte dei Marmi: the capital of high-fashion shopping, well-equipped beach clubs, and Versilia’s social scene. • Viareggio and the Versilia coast: ideal for strolling along the famous Art Nouveau (Liberty-style) promenade—lined with historic boutiques and cafés—or for a relaxing day at the beach clubs. If you prefer wilder, unspoiled nature, the beautiful Lecciona Beach is just minutes away; located within the Natural Park, it is the area's last remaining free beach, featuring its characteristic sand dunes. A major advantage of our location is that, while immersed in nature, you are never isolated: from the B&B, you can easily walk to two local bars and two excellent restaurants—Ristorante Da Franco and Ristorante Le Meraviglie—perfect for enjoying a traditional dinner without needing to drive in the evening. Additionally, just a short walk away is Tenuta Mareli, where you can enjoy wonderful tastings of local wines and products. For those who love staying active, the area offers beautiful nature trails; if you are a fan of hiking, trekking, or rock climbing, I would be happy to recommend the best nearby paths and crags in the Camaiore area.
